He continues to be deeply hurt, stunned, and in disbelief that his candidate did not win, and he is speechless even when faced with statistics.
The way I see it, here is why he feels that way:
--He is terribly disappointed with his religious congregation.
--His faith was shaken.
--His prayers were not answered the way he wanted them to be answered.
--He now sees that he has no real influence over what other people think and do, and this lowers his self-esteem.
--He sees, on the horizon, an entire cast of powerful characters, and neither he nor his friends are among them.
Frankly, I think that he should stop sulking and get on with his own life.
