There are four levels of emotion in psychoanalysis:
--the hedonic level
--the brute-emotional level
--the emotional-thought level
--the unemotional-thought level.

A section on the language of emotion is included.

I skipped the chapters on emotion in animals for the meantime, and the chapter on emotion in the context of evolution (emotional adaptation).
