Watched Angels and Demons on AXN. Liked it better than The Da Vinci Code, although both are infinitely more exciting on paper. On the screen they are mere travelogues comprised of running intercut with yakking. With a book in your hands you can do the running at your own pace. And even stop. I still cannot appreciate the Wikipedia dialogue and superfluous exposition. The formula is also getting trite: antagonists who are semi-psychotic and set up really elaborate puzzles that they know can be solved by others anyway, and a pretty actress thrown in a la James Bond minus the romantic angle because they are supposed to be very intelligent.

This movie is a lot more spectacular than The Da Vinci Code. It also has the presence of Ewan McGregor, who to me has the best role of all, though there were a few other acting vehicles, none of which The Da Vinci Code had.
