Aubrey and I had to do groceries today, but I must remind myself never to do groceries on any holiday. Even the classiest supermarket or grocery is immediately invaded by hoi-poloi, creating abominable, human traffic. We spent four hours standing in line.

It was quite analogous to devils' traffic in the streets. I witnessed quite a few atchays bumping into one another and being overcome with supermarket rage.
